About Paper Trail
Paper Trail reviews six auto-apply job tools by what they send, where they apply, what one application costs and what the fine print says. It is published by Dreamwork (dreamworkhq.com), the AI job search agent made by Ponder Labs, Inc., which is one of the six. The other five are AIApply, Simplify, JobCopilot, LoopCV and LazyApply.
Who publishes Paper Trail?
Paper Trail is written by its editors and published by Dreamwork (Ponder Labs, Inc.). Dreamwork's founders are Colin Johnson (CEO) and Ben Adamsky (CTO). No individual reviewer is named because the reviews are a reading of public pages, set out so anyone can check them.
Because Dreamwork publishes the site, we hold ourselves to a few rules. The full disclosure is in the footer of every page, and wherever a page recommends or ranks Dreamwork, its name carries the note "(our publisher)". Every fact about another tool comes from that tool's own site, with the date we read it. Dreamwork's facts come only from its own fact sheet. Other tools win the use cases they are better at, and we say so on the ranking. You can read what Dreamwork does (our publisher) on its own site.
What are these reviews not?
- They are not hands-on tests. We did not send applications with any of these tools.
- They are not user reviews or surveys, and they carry no interview or success rates.
- They are not independent of Dreamwork, and they say so on every page.
How do you send a correction?
Prices and policies change. If a vendor's page now says something different from ours, tell us which page and what changed, and we will re-read it, fix the page, move its updated date and log the change on the method page. Send corrections through dreamworkhq.com.
